Call forwarding
What is Call forwarding?
Call forwarding sends the restaurant’s incoming calls to another phone or phone host.
Call forwarding moves calls from the restaurant’s existing number to another line. In a restaurant, that can mean sending calls to a mobile phone during lunch, to the office after hours, or to a phone host when the dining room is packed.
Example: a small pizzeria keeps its main number, but forwards calls to the phone host from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. so pickup orders still get answered while the kitchen is slammed.
Why it matters for phone orders: forwarding lets the restaurant keep one familiar number while changing who answers it. That helps when staff is busy making food, running tables, or closing the shop. If you are setting it up yourself, confirm the right code with your carrier and test it with a real call.
Hear your own phone host in a minute.
Paste your link, call it from your browser, keep it if you like it. $0.90 per completed order, nothing otherwise.
