Call transcript

What is Call transcript?

A call transcript is a written record of what the caller said and what the restaurant replied.

A call transcript is the text version of a phone call. It shows what the caller asked, what items were ordered, and what the phone host or staff said back. In a restaurant, this is useful when you need to double-check a complicated order or answer a question after the call ends.

For example, if a caller said “one large cheese pie, extra well done, and no garlic on the crust,” the transcript helps staff confirm the note before the food goes out. It is also helpful when someone asks what time the caller wanted pickup.

Phone orders matter because details get missed easily when the store is busy. A transcript makes it easier to review the call, fix mistakes, and train staff on common order patterns. See Questions owners ask for more.
